Hosea 4:17 KJV

[17] Ephraim is joined to idols: let him alone.


Perhaps the worst thing God could do to you is leave you alone. Let you think, believe, and do whatever. Whatever you desire, whatever you choose. If you are saved, God's intervention in your life is for your benefit. Even when painful.


You may be convinced that enjoying your idols (typically money), without any disturbance, is God blessing you. But it is more a curse than a blessing.

Psalm 106:12-15 KJV

[12] Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.

[13] They soon forgat his works; they waited not for his counsel:

[14] But lusted exceedingly in the wilderness, and tempted God in the desert.

[15] And he gave them their request; but sent leanness into their soul.
