Worshipping God or His word?

author

Updated: Mar 26, 2024

Often, people claim that we must worship God, not the Bible. This is how they justify their giving the Bible little importance.

Psalm 138:2 KJV

[2] I will worship toward thy holy temple, and praise thy name for thy lovingkindness and for thy truth: for thou hast magnified thy word above all thy name.

Worship starts with valuing, treasuring God, because He truly is the greatest treasure of all.

Consider this.

Do people really value you if they ignore what you say or give it little importance? What if you told your children not to smoke cigarettes and not to use cocaine, and they just ignored you? If they really valued you, they would value what you say.
