Worshipping God is extremely dangerous!

Be careful to worship God strictly according to the Bible. Look what happened to these people who deviated somewhat.

2 Samuel 6:1-7 KJV

[1] Again, David gathered together all the chosen men of Israel, thirty thousand.

[2] And David arose, and went with all the people that were with him from Baale of Judah, to bring up from thence the ark of God, whose name is called by the name of the Lord of hosts that dwelleth between the cherubims. [3] And they set the ark of God upon a new cart, and brought it out of the house of Abinadab that was in Gibeah: and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drave the new cart. [4] And they brought it out of the house of Abinadab which was at Gibeah, accompanying the ark of God: and Ahio went before the ark.

[5] And David and all the house of Israel played before the Lord on all manner of instruments made of fir wood, even on harps, and on psalteries, and on timbrels, and on cornets, and on cymbals.

[6] And when they came to Nachon's threshingfloor, Uzzah put forth his hand to the ark of God, and took hold of it; for the oxen shook it.

[7] And the anger of the Lord was kindled against Uzzah; and God smote him there for his error; and there he died by the ark of God.

God killed Uzzah for his error. He was worshiping God by helping to move the ark to Jerusalem. They set the ark on a cart instead of obeying God's command regarding how to move it (Numbers 7:9, 1 Chronicles 15:13-15).

Leviticus 10:1-2 KJV

[1] And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not.

[2] And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.

God killed Nadab and Abihu, because they did carry out a prescribed worship ritual exactly.

Acts 5:1-11 KJV

[1] But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

[2] And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

[3] But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

[4] Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

[5] And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

[6] And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

[7] And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

[8] And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

[9] Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

[10] Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

[11] And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

God killed Ananias and Sapphira, because they lied about the offering they gave God. They did not worship God correctly with their offering.

So be extremely careful when you worship. God does not care about your way of worshipping Him. He cares about His way.
