Worship God by understanding His word.

author

God did not write the Bible like a cookbook, straightforward and always easy to understand. It requires effort, diligence, meditation, prayer to understand the Bible. Most people would swear they understand it, but so often they actually misunderstand it. They even hold contradictory beliefs based on their misunderstandings.

We all must make every effort to understand the Bible correctly. Understanding will often take much time, mind, meditation, prayer, consulting with others, trying to obey and so on.

Psalm 106:7 NKJV

[7] Our fathers in Egypt did not understand Your wonders; But rebelled by the sea-the Red Sea.

Matthew 13:19 NKJV

[19] When anyone hears the word, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches

away what was sown in his heart.

People wonder why God did not write the Bible like a cookbook. All easy to understand and follow. The work required to correctly understand the Bible promotes and causes a better relationship with God and with others. When you work to understand God‘s word, you do not work alone, but alongside the Holy Spirit. A better relationship with God always brings about better relationships with people as well.

John 16:13A NKJV

[13] However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth;

John 14:26 NKJV

[26] But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.

2 Timothy 2:7B NKJV

[7] may the Lord give you understanding in all things.
