The prodigal son. Why?

author

The father gave the prodigal son the money he asked for. Why? It does not say in the parable (Luke 15.11-32). (The father could have said, “No.”) However, what seem to be the results of the father giving his son he money?

  1. The son had a better understanding of his father and valued him more than before.

  2. The son’s relationship with his father was much better once he got back home.

If you are saved, and therefore a child of God, the Father may give you what you ask for, even if it may cause you extreme difficulties and troubles. He may do this in order to achieve the results obtained in this parable.
