Many ungodly people have attractive lives. They have plenty of the many earthly pleasures. Money, power, fame, friends and so on. Life is enjoyable and easy for them.
Do not envy them. Do not long for the kind of lives they have. God's servants must strive to detest the lives of these ungodly men.
Philippians 3:8 KJV
[8] Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,
Those things Paul lost, even the things that were most valuable to him, he counted them as dung. Not rubbish, as some versions put it, but dung, excrement.
1 Timothy 6:17 KJV
[17] Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;
God gives people many earthly pleasures to enjoy. It is His will that we enjoy them. But if we do not have them, we are not to miss them. Enjoy them when you have them, and do not give it much thought when you do not.
2 Corinthians 6:10B KJV
[10] as having nothing, and yet possessing all things.
Philippians 4:11-12 KJV
[11] Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
[12] I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
Ungodly people worship these things. They must have them, or they have no lives at all. They are completely undone without earthly pleasures. They must have them constantly. Their whole lives are spent bouncing from one pleasure to another. This is what God's people must loathe.
