Reduce your church’s attendance.

Updated: Jan 12

Local churches do not need to necessarily grow numerically. In most cases, they need to decrease numerically. Of course, if people are getting saved, they must attend the local church. That numerical growth is wonderful.

However, most of the people who attend churches are not there for the right reasons. They cause trouble, they consume scarce resources, they are a source of erroneous and evil doctrines, they lead saved people off the narrow path (1 Corinthians 5:6). And so on.

How to get rid of these people? Teach all the Bible, not just the parts that make people feel good. Many will flee (John 3:19-20). At a church I attended, the preacher did this, and most of the people left, because they could not stand it. They ended up forming a new church.

Also, apply biblical penalties for disobedience, whenever applicable (for example, 1 Corinthians 5).
