Read what the Bible says...and what it does not say.

Psalm 137:9 KJV

[8] O daughter of Babylon, who art to be destroyed; happy shall he be, that rewardeth thee as thou hast served us.

[9] Happy shall he be, that taketh and dasheth thy little ones against the stones.

Bible skeptics love to point out this verse. "Look how evil God is. He encourages His people to murder children by smashing them against stones."

However, this verse does not say that.

It only says those who harm these children will get enjoyment from it. No doubt those who hurt children do get pleasure from it. Consider all those parents who abuse their own children.

It does not say God's people will do this. And it does not say it is good for people to enjoy this. It is only a prediction of what will happen.

Be cautious with all Scripture. Read it carefully to be sure of what it says and what it does not say.
