Obeying the Lord is both easy and hard.

Matthew 11:29-30 KJV

[29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

[30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.


2 Timothy 2:3 KJV

[3] Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.


Obeying the Lord is hard. What makes it easy is fear of God, trust in His love and wisdom, love for God (greatly desiring to please Him), the expectation of great reward and so on.


A man from the Philippines, who I will call "Ug," whose legs do not work from birth, propelled himself with his hands 2.5 km (1.5 miles) to get to a church assembly. This was most difficult, yet was easy at the same time.


Waking up and rushing someone to the hospital in the middle of the night is quite difficult to do for a stranger. But extremely easy for your spouse or child.
