Most church people worship a god that does not exist.

They do not worship God of the Bible, but a god that is made up of parts of the Bible and parts of the common beliefs.

It is similar to someone saying they are a fan of Michael Jordan. Which one? The actor or the basketball player?

People say they worship God, but which one? The exact God revealed in the Bible? Or some composite God put together in people's imaginations? Same word, but referring to two different beings, one real, and the other fake.

Psalm 16:4 KJV

[4] Their sorrows shall be multiplied that hasten after another god : their drink offerings of blood will I not offer, nor take up their names into my lips.
