Titus 3:2 KJV
[2] To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men.
All through the Bible, God commands and praises the virtue of meekness.
What is meekness?
According to Merriam-Webster and other reputable dictionaries, including Bible dictionaries.
A meek person
1. endures injuries and provocations without anger, resentment, getting upset. They do not get back at people, even when they are right.
2. is submissive, compliant. They give in to others when it does not matter, but stand firm when it does matter.
Ephesians 5:21 KJV
[21] Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God.
3. is gentle. They use just enough force to get the job done.
4. is teachable. They are willing to be instructed and admonished, even by the lowest of people.
Psalm 25:9 KJV
[9] The meek will he guide in judgment: and the meek will he teach his way.
