Hopefully not missed by the community.

author

Someone said we must have churches that would be missed by the surrounding communities, if they closed down.

Appropriately, an elder at the church I attended called this statement rubbish.

We do not need that sort of church. We need churches that would cause the neighbors to celebrate, if they did not exist anymore. That celebration would be something to praise God for.

Matthew 10:22A KJV

[22] And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake:

Luke 6:22-23 KJV

[22] Blessed are ye, when men shall hate you, and when they shall separate you from their company, and shall reproach you, and cast out your name as evil, for the Son of man's sake.

[23] Rejoice ye in that day, and leap for joy: for, behold, your reward is great in heaven: for in the like manner did their fathers unto the prophets.
