God’s system is way better than the world’s.

Romans 15:2 KJV

[2] Let every one of us please his neighbour for his good to edification.

God’s system is for each sibling in the church (sister or brother in Christ) to work on the good of all the other siblings. The world‘s system is for each person to work on their own good only.

Matthew 22:39 KJV

[39] And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

Not less, not more.

God’s system.

Imagine you in a church of 99 siblings. When you need help, 100 (99 plus you) people are there to help. Perhaps you need an electrician. And you are not an electrician. There would probably be an electrician at the church. Each sibling would have 100 people taking care of them.

A family at our church was moving to another house. It was a big, back-breaking move. But about 20 to 30 people showed up, and they worked in a coordinated manner. In about an hour, the move was done, and we were all sitting around eating donuts and drinking coffee together. World’s system.

On the other hand, here is the world’s advice.

“Make every action you take in life for your own benefit, whether directly or indirectly. Remember that looking after yourself is an everyday thing,“

“Look out for yourself, because no one else will.” (This is most likely true for the world.)
