Psalm 46:1-2 KJV
[1] God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
[2] Therefore will not we fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea;
Was God a present help when Stephen was brought to the council and stoned to death (Acts 6:8-7:60)?
Acts 6:15 KJV
And all that sat in the council, looking stedfastly on him, saw his face as it had been the face of an angel.
Acts 7:55-56 KJV
[55] But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God,
[56] And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God.
This was Stephen’s time to die, and God was clearly giving him great help at this most important moment in his life.
Thank you, Chet P. for this teaching.
