God hardened Pharaohs heart. However, Pharaoh hardened his own heart too.
Exodus 8:15, 32 KJV
[15] But when Pharaoh saw that there was respite, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not unto them; as the Lord had said.
[32] And Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, neither would he let the people go.
Exodus 9:34 KJV
[34] And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
God hardened Pharaoh’s heart. But He hardened it specifically in the matter of not letting the children of Israel go. God’s hardening of Pharaoh’s heart was specific to one thing. Not letting Israel go.

God hardened Pharaoh's heart to reveal Himself to many people.
At least to the peoples of Israel and Egypt.

And many people all through the centuries have been affected by this history of what God did back then.
Nehemiah 9:10 KJV
[10] And shewedst signs and wonders upon Pharaoh, and on all his servants, and on all the people of his land: for thou knewest that they dealt proudly against them. So didst thou get thee a name, as it is this day.
