This was told to me by an Apple employee.
"When Steve Jobs returned to Apple in the 1990s, Apple had too many products. He got rid of most, and just kept a few, the most important. All the products were good, but Apple did not need them all. Resources were being wasted."
Many passages in the Bible reveal the importance of greatly reducing the amount of activities we spend time, energy, and mind on.
Matthew 8:21-22 KJV
[21] And another of his disciples said unto him, Lord, suffer me first to go and bury my father.
[22] But Jesus said unto him, Follow me; and let the dead bury their dead.
Matthew 17:24-27 NKJV
[24] When they had come to Capernaum, those who received the temple tax came to Peter and said, "Does your Teacher not pay the temple tax?"
[25] He said, "Yes." And when he had come into the house, Jesus anticipated him, saying, "What do you think, Simon? From whom do the kings of the earth take customs or taxes, from their sons or from strangers?"
[26] Peter said to Him, "From strangers." Jesus said to him, "Then the sons are free.
[27] Nevertheless, lest we offend them, go to the sea, cast in a hook, and take the fish that comes up first. And when you have opened its mouth, you will find a piece of money; take that and give it to them for Me and you."
Jesus let Peter know they did not have to pay these taxes. Yet Jesus told Peter to go pay them anyways, in order not to offend people.
Matthew 5:39-41 KJV
[39] But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also.
[40] And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. [41] And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
Offending people, resisting evil, even when you are right, often takes a lot of time. It wastes time, because there are so many better uses of your time.
Luke 8:14 KJV
[14] And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to perfection.
Luke 10:38-42 KJV
[38] Now it came to pass, as they went, that he entered into a certain village: and a certain woman named Martha received him into her house.
[39] And she had a sister called Mary, which also sat at Jesus' feet, and heard his word.
[40] But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.
[41] And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things:
[42] But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.
John 15:2B KJV
[2] every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
The good often crowds out the best. Focus on a few things in order to bring forth more fruit.
Most everyone wastes so much of their lives on insignificant, trivial matters, believing them to be important. They spend their lives on so many of these worthless activities, that they become overwhelmed. They dedicate their lives to mostly nonsense. A preacher said, "What will you care about 100 years from now?" That is what most of your time must be spent on.
Ephesians 5:15-16 KJV
[15] See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,
[16] Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
2 Timothy 2:4 KJV
[4] No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.
