Jesus’ disciples do not consider obeying God’s commands as just unpleasant duties to discharge and then get on with life (like paying taxes). (They may find some of God‘s commands to be unpleasant, but they know His commands are their lives.)


They love God’s commands as great treasure (Psalm 119). They desire them as a thirsty man desperately craves water. God‘s commands are their “map” to walk safely through the “minefield” of life.
